My experience for the past year plus of working with Antares Fitness has been nothing short of revolutionary. As a man in my late thirties, I’ve begun workout routines more than I can count that I found on the internet, or that I just made up, coming up with nutrition plans that were more hopeful than healthful, the works. I’ve really rarely seen consistent gains or been able to keep a consistent routine because of burnout, diet fatigue, you name it.
My experience training with Lindsay has helped me to overcome many of these challenges and maintain consistency much more successfully than when I was trying to do this all by myself. It’s obvious that she enjoys not only training, but continuing to learn more about the science to become even more effective as a trainer. This dedication to increasing her own understanding has benefited me by introducing me to new ways to grow and excel in my own fitness journey. When she asks me if I’d like to try something new based on current research, I’m always game. Even if it’s not something we stick with, It makes training really fun and not just a bunch of boxes to check. Her curiosity is contagious and is expressed as a sincere desire to find the most skillful ways to support my fitness goals.
She has also tailored my programming to my needs. I work a demanding physical warehouse job, and I’m often lifting heavy boxes eight hours a day. When this in combination with the intensity of my training becomes overwhelming, Lindsay works to tailor my training program to fit the demands of my job so that I am not working against myself and getting burned out. This has been a huge deal for me, as that’s led to me falling off of my routine before.
Her commitment to maintaining clear communication has also been incredibly valuable to me, and I’ve never felt like there was an issue we couldn’t work out and get to the bottom of. She even helped me overcome some really long-term soft tissue pain I had in my shoulder by doing additional research and giving me some mobility work to do. If I’m telling her something doesn’t feel right, she takes the time to find out why so that we can come to a solution that works for me.
All in all, my experience has been fantastic. And I also have the results to prove it. I’m seeing huge gains in muscular definition, the numbers I’m putting up, and in the quality of my life and the feeling of confidence I have when I go to the gym, knowing I’ve got a solid program, defined goals, and exceptional support.
